What should one never attempt to do with relation to a train?

Taking a photo while crossing can distract the driver, driving in reverse at a crossing is generally unsafe and confusing for other drivers, and playing music loudly may inhibit a driver’s ability to hear the train's horn. However, none of these actions come close to the immediate danger posed by trying to beat a train across the tracks when the crossing gates indicate that it is unsafe to proceed.
